Why us

Why DuzMarc

Most well-known DMARC tools are American or British. That is not a problem in itself, but it does mean you have to look carefully into jurisdiction, data rules and the language of support. DuzMarc deliberately chooses differently, not only in where the data sits but in every link of the chain.

Every link, not just the server

The whole chain is European

Plenty of providers call themselves "EU-hosted" when only the main database sits in Europe. At DuzMarc that principle applies to every single link:

Server & hosting

Etheron · The Netherlands

Not an American hyperscaler (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), so data cannot fall under the US Cloud Act.

SSL/TLS certificate

Actalis · Italy

Even the secure connection itself comes from a European certificate authority rather than the usual American ones.

DNS resolvers

DNS4EU & Quad9 · EU / Switzerland (adequacy country)

Both our own servers and the free check tools on this site use these resolvers instead of Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1).

Fonts

Self-hosted · On our own server

No external request to fonts.googleapis.com on every page visit, as happens on most websites. Your IP address is therefore never shared with Google for this.

Domain & mail

Soverin · The Netherlands

Our own domain management and mail traffic run through a Dutch company too.

Transactional email

Lettermint · The Netherlands

Password resets, verification emails and notifications are sent through a Dutch SMTP provider.

Payments

Mollie · The Netherlands

Direct debit runs through a Dutch payment service provider.

Side by side

DuzMarc next to the best-known alternatives

Think of tools such as dmarcian, EasyDMARC, PowerDMARC and Valimail (all American) and Red Sift OnDMARC (British).

Trackers or advertising networks on the website No Not always disclosed, often third-party marketing tooling
AI training on customer data No, never Policy differs per provider

Based on company information published by the providers themselves, and on what is generally common practice on websites (such as loading Google Fonts). The policies and technology of individual providers may change or differ. When in doubt, always check the current situation with the provider concerned.

Functionally speaking

The same core function, different starting points

When it comes to collecting, aggregating and displaying DMARC reports, most tools do broadly the same thing. The difference lies in who the supplier is, where your data (and every link around it) sits, and how openly that is communicated.

Jurisdiction

DuzMarc is a Dutch company. Your data falls under European law, not under American or other foreign legislation.

Privacy by design

No trackers, no advertising networks, no AI training on your email data, no external font requests. Only the session cookies needed to keep you logged in.
